The COVID pandemic marks the first time scientists have been able to track a respiratory disease through wastewater analysis. In this Q&A, WHD affiliate Alexandria Boehm discusses how she, Marlene Wolfe, and a team of researchers developed a system for monitoring prevalence on campus and collaborated with public health officers on an epidemiology project serving a number of communities across California.
