James is a third year PhD student working with Professor Jenna Davis in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He graduated from Harvard in 2011, majoring in Applied Mathematics. His research is focused on the impacts of combined WASH and educational interventions on health and well-being. He has worked extensively in collaboration with Sesame Workshop and World Vision on an educational program, WASH Up!, that targets children in grades 1-4 in rural Zambia. He will be pursuing a Fulbright Student Research Fellowship, also in Zambia, in 2018.
