Andrea is a PhD student in the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources (E-IPER) and has a Masters of Public Health in global epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She is generally interested in the eco-epidemiology of infectious diseases and how social factors interact with environmental drivers of transmission. Her current research is focused on the human-environment dynamics involved in the transmission of schistosomiasis in the Senegal River Basin.
